First, let's just get this out of the way: Yes, Christine and I both currently find ourselves in some stage of semi-unemployment and while we wholeheartedly feel that the world has yet to discover our vast reserves of untapped talent, we have agreed that our energy - for the time being - may be best channeled into the Charleston Receipts Project.

Second, our ties to Charleston run deep, but we find ourselves far from home. Christine, now making her way as a lawyer in the Big Apple, and I, eking out a living as a journalist in Washington, were both born in South Carolina, some 30 years after Charleston Receipts was first published.
Finally, yes, this is a cooking blog - perhaps not entirely original - but we plan on making it fun - for us to write, for our significant others to eat and for you to read. Welcome.
